Her solution was to use coping mechanisms to overcome her despair but after an even more traumatic experience Michelle’s world was consumed in fear and they no longer worked. She was pushed over the edge of sanity, drawn in different directions in life, beyond repair by her own young capabilities albeit she tried her best to be stoic. Michelle was cast into mental illness at no fault other than being victim to circumstance. She is a clever girl and hides her illness from everyone out of fear of the truth and mistrust she had held onto. But Michelle is also a bright child who expresses herself and finds answers through adventurous imagination, poetry and other writings in this story of healing and inspiration.
