About Past the Point of Rescue

While nine-year-old Jason Cabot is visiting his working sister at the town market, he is coaxed by an older man to help him with something. Jason recognizes the man's car as the one that had been following him for some time. Before Jason can get away, a gun is pointed at his stomach and he's ordered to get in. Ten years go by and Jason is still with the stranger that kidnapped him, simply calling him The Man. Jason's family has been looking for him for years, and he hoped they would find him, but nobody ever came. The Man brought Jason to a deserted cabin in the woods, miles away from civilization. But when Jason turned eighteen-years-old, he moved with The Man to a neighborhood, surrounded by people that could help him. After years of physical and psychological abuse, Jason has no choice but to stay with the man. Then one day, when Jason is nineteen-years-old, The Man lets him go. Jason reunites with his family and attends therapy sessions to help him adjust to normal life again. The thing is, they're not working. The Man is still in his dreams. Jason experiences memories that could occur any second. The Man is still out there. What happens when he suddenly finds Jason after three years of letting him go? What could The Man possibly want? Is Jason in danger, or is there something more sinister going on?
