About Operation Quicksilver: A Jack Ross Environmental Thriller
At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Jack Ross and his Delta Force B-squadron are dispatched by the White House to track down and kill a Russian terrorist before he releases over 7,000 tons of stolen mercury, also known as quicksilver and a deadly neurotoxin, somewhere in the United States. An electrifying cat and mouse spy thriller where Jack Ross realizes too late that he is not only the hunter but also the hunted. While on a Special Op in Brazil to take down the Russian terrorist, Jack becomes the victim when he reaches out to save the life of a small child who approached him on the street. The child was a terrorist plant and before Jack could react, a pipe bomb exploded killing the child and sending a spike through Jack’s head severing the connection between the two lobes of his brain. It was then that a strange event occurred. Instead of killing Jack instantly, the injury released a phantom in Jack’s conscience operating within the realm of the savant. After he recovers, and now employed by the FBI, Jack must learn to use his newly acquired savant to track down the terrorist and avoid a global catastrophe, both politically and environmentally. It is only after a Senator’s son is found dead in the streets of Washington, D.C. as a result of mercury poisoning, that Jack realizes the deadly nature and complexity of his task. With the help of his new neurological friend, whom he calls Crusoe, and fellow FBI agent Jinx Oliver, Jack eventually comes to realize why he is the object of the terrorist’s rage. He realizes one thing more. To exact his revenge on Jack, this terrorist is willing to push the world to the brink of cold war. To solve the mystery Jack and Crusoe must visit a dark space within his mind with memories so terrifying that revealing them could throw Jack into a darkness from which there may be no escape. However, to not visit them could result in the deaths of hundreds of Americans. With his life hanging in the balance and the world in peril, Jack steps into the void.
