About the book

About No Place To Hide (Special Agent Ricki James)

He kills for money, and has been on the FBI’s Most Wanted list for over a decade. Now he’s back to haunt Ricki and Clay. To survive, they’ll have to hunt him down. Because in the world of contract killers, there is no such thing as a second chance. Special Agent Ricki James has barely had a week to enjoy her official engagement to Police Chief Clay Thomas before bad news reaches her doorstep. Clay’s brother, Lex, is on the move, and he is coming their way. It isn’t the first time the chief has had to deal with his murder-for-hire brother, and the last time didn’t end well. A dozen years before, Lex slithered out of the trap the FBI had set for him. A trap Clay helped build. That is not something a man like Lex is going to forget. When the chief is wounded in an ambush, Ricki must find Lex and put him in a cage once and for all. But he proves to be a ghost, leaving her to follow a string of confusing clues that lead nowhere. But things aren’t what they seem, and when another body is discovered, it will take all her skills to unravel the layers of lies and get to the truth before Lex claims his next victim. With time working against them, Ricki and her team struggle to solve the puzzle that is Lex, before there isn't any team left to hunt down a killer.
