About the book

About Necromancy the Musical

Wednesday meets High School Musical in this thrilling magical mystery debut, perfect for teen readers who enjoy the mystical world of Rachel Hawkins. Behind the glistening lights of New Orleans hides a darker underbelly, a mysterious world filled with voodoo, magic, necromancy, and gifted people like sixteen-year-old CeCe LeBlanc. Drama geek by day. Necromancer detective by night. ACT ONE: CeCe LeBlanc debuts at drama camp. Goodbye to nights talking to the dead, reliving their murders to seek justice. Hello to scene-stealing performances and playing plastic bags in the wind. ACT TWO: Enter stage right, hunky love interest Zach Wren, who puts the drama in drama camp. Suddenly CeCe's questioning her "no cliché camp romance" philosophy. The moment she and Zach touch, the intoxicating energy of his magic pulses through her, and sparks fly. The problem? Zach feels it too, and he's sworn off all things magic. INTERMISSION: Behind the curtain lurks an evil magic caster, desperate to steal CeCe's power, haunting her dreams and threatening those she loves. Add in another death and she's trading in her plastic bags for body bags. Time is running out, and the danger closes in. No one is safe until she can crack the case. ACT THREE: CeCe must catch the killer, save her budding romance, and protect the people she loves. All before the final bow. With co-stars like these, what could possibly go wrong? Nothing a necromantic, drama loving girl can't handle.
