About Moonwake - The Night Door

Every time fifteen-year-old Malik Carter falls asleep under a full moon, he wakes up in a world called Lumae-a place shaped by dreams, memory, and unresolved truths. On Earth, Malik is a quiet, artistic teen growing up in Detroit with his grandmother, who performs moon rituals and holds secrets about his missing mother. In Lumae, he's known as a Nightwalker-one who can cross between worlds-and the realm's last hope against the masked Hollow King, a figure who steals not just memories, but entire histories. As Malik journeys deeper into both his dream-world and waking life, he uncovers long-buried truths about his mother's disappearance, his family's legacy, and the dangerous power of imagination. When he's offered the full truth of his past in exchange for forgetting his real life, Malik must choose between two identities-or find the courage to carry both.
