About Misophonia A Novel
When Martin Riley is released from custody after serving an eight-year sentence, imprisoned for a crime he has no recollection of committing, all he wants now is a quiet life. What he'll soon find, however, is anything but. Misophonia. It's a neurological disorder characterized by an intense emotional and physiological reaction to sounds. In Marty's case, though, it's more than just an annoyance. It makes him crazy! For as long as he can remember, Marty has been plagued by this affliction. An exceptionally severe form of the condition which renders him hyper-sensitive to sound and unable to tolerate the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Raised in isolation by his overbearing, eccentric mother, he finds himself forced to return home in the hopes of starting over. There, he'll need to confront the demons of his past, and maybe even some from his future too. Back where his tragic past unfurled, it doesn't take long for trouble to find him. Upon reuniting with some old friends, it soon becomes evident to Marty and the gang that there's something sinister in the place he once called home, and it just so happens, facing it may be the very thing that holds the key to his salvation. Now, in order to save himself, and the lives of those around him, a choice will be made. The time of reckoning has finally come.
