About Memories of Intrinsia A Novella

While exploring ancient petroglyphs in the deserts of Southern Utah, a witty archeologist, Hugh Cooke, makes a fascinating discovery. His accidental research exposes portals and evidence of mysterious marine life beneath the desert floors. Years later, his research guides his youngest granddaughter, Ava, on a personal and courageous adventure. Once she and her best friend, Jax, become separated in the aquatic tunnels, Ava must confront her water phobia and untangle a complex web of memories. Her journey weaves experiences throughout both worlds, allowing both of her realities to collide... for better or for worse. The YA novella, "Memories of Intrinsia" combines elements of magical realism, desert and undersea fantasy, surrealism, and psychology.
