About Marienna's Fantasies
Henry Everett Festus is an inventive technologist, feeling exploited working for the Cronson clan in the Hill Country north of Austin. Marienna Cronson, his godmother, offers a way out of his dilemma. She has the fantasy that she (Athena) and her extended Greek family are reincarnations of the Greek gods; and, notably, Henry Festus (Hephaestus) should redo the Labors of Heracles. She also tries to ruin his marriage to her half-sister, Dawn (Aphrodite). In pursuit of her beliefs, she has manipulated her oil-rich relatives, through a foundation and a Greek Festival, to support Henry in his quests. Will re-doing the Labors help Henry escape his role in the Cronson empire and repair his marriage?
