It is to be a place that he planned to share with the love of his life, Brice. While he away on his last special mission for the United States Special Forces, Jay is shot and left for dead. Richard a very nice looking vampire finds Jay close to death in a dark alley. When Richard feeds on Jay, he finds that Jay is a descendant from the Pureblood Vampire bloodline. As Jay lays in a coffin going through the conversion the events of his life plays like a movie through his mind. When he rises from his coffin, he knows that he will never be able to return home to Brice the only man he loves. Hearing the news that Jay is missing he tries to find him.
