About the book
About It Was a Dark and Stormy Night, Dontcha Know
Stories by Carol Huss, Michael Allan Mallory, John Baird Rogers, Chris Norbury, John Gaspard, Susan Ellison, Greg Dahlager, Julie Fasciana, Steve Hoffmeyer, Sherry Roberts, A.J. Penn, Barbara Merritt Deese, C.N. Buchholz, Jeanne Mulcare, Daniel Kinney, Natalie Fowler, Thekla Fagerlie-Madsen, T.S. Owen. The writers were tasked with using the same opening line, then including three of eight possible Easter eggs within their story. Part of the reader's challenge is to identify those Easter eggs. Stories include a kidnapped blue ox, a murderous canoe trip in the North Woods, strange deaths, ghostly visitations, murder by weather, missing people or animals, thefts gone wrong, and friends with murderous intent. All in good fun, of course.
