...Is no Theft is the second volume of the Monksbridge Trilogy. It continues the story from the first volume. Joseph and Miriam are in the year 2135, Miriam is pregnant and they possess valuable books that they have stolen by traveling back to an Abbey in an earlier century. Miriam gives birth to twins.The death of the two lecturers from Camford University continues to cause problems for Joseph but he is able to strengthen his position at the University by producing the books. He bargains for a Chair in Medieval History and for a new library.Professor Winchester pursues Joseph in an attempt to find out how his lecturers died and Inspector Hutto pursues Miriam in an attempt to find out where she went when she was missing. They collude after the inquest to obtain the information. Inspector Hutto recruits a hematologist to perform illegal tests. Their investigations lead to unforeseen consequences for all.Miriam travels back to her old world. Seemingly by accident the first time, but on the second occasion to help Joseph. A secret about Monksbridge Hall is revealed. Miriam discovers that she has lost her healing powers but they turn up in an unexpected place. The twins are involved in Miriam's travels. The truth of her physical being is partially revealed.
