About Ghost Of Gladio (A Van Gogh Crime Thriller)

The brutal murder of a community member shakes Zürich's Bosnian diaspora to its core. The local imam and the enigmatic widow of the victim hire van Gogh, a washed-up, self-deprecating former cop, to investigate. They don't trust the police, who quickly pin the crime on the Albanian drug mob. Despite a rocky start, van Gogh sinks his teeth into the case. It doesn't take long for him to uncover that the dead man was a veteran of the Bosnian War. His dogged investigation takes him from Zürich to Vienna and Belgrade, where he encounters war criminals, the Serbian mafia, and a shadowy group of neo-Nazis obsessed with the mysterious NATO stay- behind armies that spanned Western Europe during the Cold War. As van Gogh digs deeper, his persistence puts not only his own life but also his family at risk. The secret he uncovers is so explosive that those responsible are willing to kill to keep it buried-a secret that could reshape the future of Europe.
