She's lived through a difficult Greek childhood, the failure of the utopian rural commune where everyone, including her artist husband, walked away, and years spent teaching in a small country town. Her greatest challenge now is her foster daughter Imogen, who is fifteen and cutting loose from her childhood. But Nicky wants to give her the opportunity for a different future.
