About For the Children With Love, Daisy's Story

Kids. Sometimes they drive us crazy, sometimes they make us laugh, sometimes they frustrate us, but all times they bring us joy. Learning to understand our children can sometimes be a challenge, especially when a disability is involved. Many times, we must fight for what our children need and count on our own intuition for knowing what is best. I understand all of this, but what do I do when a child needs me to understand but can't communicate? How do I protect someone without a voice? As a little girl, I dreamed of being so many different things. A ballerina, a princess, a teacher, a lawyer, a nurse, even an actress. Of the many things I dreamed I would be, I never dreamed I would be a killer.
