About the book

About FIRST ASSIGNMENT

In this timely, liberal, political thriller, CIA analyst Alex Everett struggles to fit the pieces together in his first field assignment— a corrupt, egotistical, right wing U.S. president; a tortured Marine in the Middle East; an ultra-conservative senator with a dirty little secret; enormous amounts of laundered money; and the CIA stalking one of their own most experienced agents. Alex wasn't expecting to uncover such compelling facts and he quickly learned that his superiors weren’t expecting it either. They had assigned Alex to lead the investigation into a triple murder because he had little field experience—and they counted on that inexperience to keep him from uncovering what really happened. With his bosses' access to the most sophisticated technology in the world, Alex attempts to hide his discoveries from them. But the more he uncovers, the more driven he is to get to the truth. The twists and turns in this political thriller will keep you guessing until the surprising, final twist.
