About Falkland Islands War Interruption: The Denial of the Fourth Reich (A Mike Cummins' Thriller)

Falkland Islands War Interruption – The Denial of the Fourth Reich Forty years previous, a German submarine, U-3523, intended to bring Führer und Reichskanzler Adolph Hitler and his new bride to South America, delivered the gold Hitler had stolen from millions in Europe during World War II. Hitler’s two high-level military attaches-bodyguards sailed on the submarine. While failing to establish the Fourth Reich in Argentina, they successfully began and grew a world-wide drug business – the Bariloche Group. Now, in 1982, the CIA has learned the Bariloche Group’s intent is to incorporate drug organizations from Cambodia and Turkey into its operations. Neil Barnett calls Mike Cummins, the U.S. Navy Swift boat officer originally recruited by Neil to bring Brigadier General Nguyen Dinh Ba out of South Vietnam at the end of the war, then later to disarm a North Korean dirty bomb during the American embassy hostage crisis in Tehran. Given the criminal nature of the parties involved, given the economic scale this combined drug organization would have, and given the intense societal destruction caused by these drugs, this affiliation must be stopped. The story has jaw-dropping political intrigue and the financial scale associated with drug trafficking. It involves some of the most dangerous, cutthroat criminals in the world. They’re in an industry that thinks nothing of killing anyone who gets in its way. Everything seems to be coming together for the Bariloche Group to successfully create this affiliation, but that can’t happen. Concurrent with the Bariloche Group’s efforts to form this affiliation, the Falkland Islands War between Argentina and Great Britain has dramatically escalated within the past two weeks. It’s simply not business as usual. The stakes have suddenly ratcheted up, and Mike must overcome them and successfully bring the Bariloche Group down. As in each of Lou Masterson’s books, there’s an unexpected twist at the end from someone that most would consider least likely.
