In this Apocalyptic Thriller a group of Mad Scientists who refer to themselves as "The Boundless" release a deadly chemical they've termed "Protoveto" into crops worldwide. The chemical causes plants and crops to lose their metabolic properties and produce everywhere faces instant death. Grocery stores run out of food in a matter of weeks. Farmers lose all of their grains and cattle. Beef and chicken become a rare commodity. Ecosystems begin to reveal the effects of imbalance. Citizens begin to war with officials and wars break out locally and internationally for the few resources that are left, causing all nations to crumble. The stock markets crash, political structures fail, hospitals close, law enforcement becomes obsolete, and panic erupts. Daniel Stone's family is just one family to suffer the the horrid anarchy but he's one man who's willing to die to protect his. Follow as Daniel Stone tries to rid his neighborhood of the evil henchmen of "The Boundless", a group of savage goons referred to as the "Headcrushers", in this short story that amazingly encapsulates major "Doom's Day" themes in a concise but poignant manner.
