About Encroaching Danger

Sophie. Heartbroken by the death of her father she is starting afresh. Leaving behind her overbearing mother and the memories of a ruinous relationship she has chosen a tiny quiet hamlet in rural Dorset. The chocolate-box cottage she sees as the perfect setting for her and her little dog Spider to start again. In the daylight hours it's everything she ever wanted but once the pitch black night descends she finds the dark and silence unsettling. Is her imagination running away with itself or has she something very real to fear?Anthony. Suffering at the hands of his barbaric father since an early age he exists only as an empty shell. Never knowing love or compassion his days are filled with fear and dread and the duty of shielding his mother from the terrible truth, although he often wonders why, as she has only ever been distant with him. He doesn't know why she has never been affectionate towards him, what could he possibly have done to deserve this treatment from his own mother? Never had it occurred to Anthony that the one person he suffered in silence to protect was the one that failed him terribly. With the realisation of betrayal comes a rage within him he never knew he had. He has only ever wanted to be loved. He will do whatever it takes to be loved.Francesca. Frustrated at her lack of advancement within the police force she is becoming bored with her career. She didn't see herself still driving around Bournemouth in a panda handing out tickets to people who think the speed limit applies to everyone but them, she wanted so much more than this. She just needed a break, just one big break that would get her recognised by the powers that be. Responding to a call that she assumes is just going to be another mundane routine situation she has no idea how much her life is about to change. The big break she wishes for is there waiting, she is about to understand the term, 'careful what you wish for'. Three people, three very different lives, set to entwine with dire consequences.
