About the book

About Ember in the Storm

Eleanora and Evander have lived their entire lives in servitude to the cruel humans who killed their parents. Beaten down, and mocked by those who see them as nothing more than remnants of a fallen empire, life was over for them before it ever started. Freedom finally came one night-in the form of a magical band of mercenaries on the hunt for realmwalking witches, forbidden to entire their lands. Eager for adventure and family, Eleanora and Evander are caught in a web of dark magic, and prophecies, and a war brewing in the shadows. On a journey to speak with the king, Eleanora and Evander along with a group of unlikely allies face the temptation of dark magic, and their own fates. Will they fight against the tide of fate, or accept their role in the war to come? Find out in Book one of The Shadowlands series, Ember in the Storm.
