Meeting complaining characters from picture books who come to life.Further adventures include listening to nervous talking clocks and visiting strange people and a witch in Crystal Palace park.Meeting life-like toys and two fairy-like creatures in a church cellar who want to escape.Visiting, with Athelstan, a Christmas Market in Germany, seeing the Advent Princess and confronting clockwork dolls.A further visit to Rothenberg where she meets a talking snowman and a witch.Finally she returns to her own family to celebrate Christmas.
