About Disappearing the Messenger: A post COVID-19 thriller

A post COVID-19 thriller. Amanda Clegge tries to blow the whistle on a global scheme to fill pandemic stockpiles with bogus supplies. Private Investigator Mike Raleigh and his pal Reginald Browne are hired by Amanda to protect her but Mike can find no record of the woman holding the job she claims to have done for the past three years. Neither can the people to whom she blew the whistle. Is she a fraud or is she being disappeared by conspirators in a multi-billion dollar fraud against health providers across the world? If enemies can't destroy her credibility, will they kill her and her protectors? Can the fraud she claims actually happen in real life? Has it happened already?
