About the book

About Death Tide

A thrilling family tale of murder and intrigue in Paradise. Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Retired detective Jessica Kealoha finds herself in the murder trial of her sister Pua and rife with guilt because she's being forced to testify against her. Many in town have already decided Pua's guilt and only see the trial as a formality before they send her to prison for life. Jessica discovers that there is more to the story than meets the eye and must find the evidence that will free her sister before it's too late. Great read! If you've ever been to Hawaii, you'll feel like your back! The setting and descriptions are so realistic! Many twists and turns in the plot will keep you guessing throughout, chock full of suspense, humor, and some very shady behavior will keep you appropriately glued to this book until the murderer is ultimately revealed. The story also embraces real-life struggles and concerns and how they affect the lives of everyone involved. Overall, a well-written murder mystery that I enjoyed immensely. Good characters keep you riveted and involved from beginning to end, and overall, just hard to put down until you finish. I also recommend the other books in this series, it would be helpful (but not necessary) to read them in order, for a little backstory, but if this is your first book, you'll catch on just fine.
