About DEATH TAKES A HOLLIDAY
When the current vice president is diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, White House special agent Michael McBride is tasked with escorting the future vice-presidential nominee’s daughter on a European vacation to keep her out of the headlines until his appointment is approved. Helen Holliday, aka ‘Runner,’ is a wild child. Spoiled and privileged, she is finally showing signs of maturing and willing to do whatever is necessary to aid her father now that he has been unexpectedly thrust into the national spotlight. After spending several weeks in each other’s company, just as sparks fly between the two, Helen suddenly disappears while picnicking on the stunningly beautiful cliffs of Spain’s Costa del Sol. Mystified and disgraced by the world headline-grabbing debacle of Helen’s unexplained disappearance, McBride self-exiles to the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao, where he makes a living as a global security consultant. Flash forward four years, and just as life is returning to normal, an early morning knock on his door upends his world yet again when Dutch Commissaris Rosalyn Deckers informs him Helen’s remains have just been discovered on the nearby island of Bonaire. Little does McBride know the ruse of Helen’s death has set him up as a pawn in an elaborate scheme of double cross worthy of a Dan Brown thriller. Carefully selected by the brilliant quantum theorist Dr. Annette Oppenheimer, director of PACE, for his nascent hyperphantasia ability, McBride must use all of his covert ops skills and Oppenheimer’s multi-billion dollar mind-altering quantum SAS device in a winner-takes-all globetrotting scheme of cat-and-mouse to defeat one of history’s most deadly assassins, the dreaded KOBA, the bogeyman of bogeymen. Only the survivor will live to tell the tale…
