No one wanted to be stuck on the plane that night. No one that is, except for Kay. This might be because the delayed flight home to New Orleans that evening, just so happened to have her sitting right next to someone she wanted to get to know a little better—well, a lot better. A by-chance meeting that ultimately entwines, not only Kay and her seat-mate, but the people they were flying home to as well. Things do take a turn for the complicated as new and old unions give way to a domino effect of family, friend, and love entanglements. Exposing that everyone down on the bayou is truly desperate for something. Desperations that conflict and eventually collide; turning the wealthy into the unwealthy, the loved into the unloved, and the living into (unfortunately, for quite a few people) the unliving. Woven together by seemingly innocuous details, Dead In Your Shoes is a unique southern murder mystery that amuses, intrigues, and evokes the sudden strong desire to never borrow another pair of shoes ever again.
