About the book
About Dakota: A Historical thriller (The Volunteer Series)
Sixteen Nazi spies were arrested in February 1938 in New York City. Four were convicted, twelve got away. Dakota, the third novel in the Volunteers series, is the story of the twelve spies that got away and the massacre they almost pulled off one year later, outside the infamous German America Bund rally in Madison Square Garden. This novel also depicts a time when the German American Bund held rallies in full Nazi regalia, and maintained youth camps to teach children about the purity of the Aryan race. Recent events in our country reveal the threat of tyranny is always with us, and history is current events in the past.
