A remote Maine seacoast town. A reclusive Vietnam veteran. A beautiful blonde with a dangerous boyfriend. And two New York gangs in a drug deal that goes violently wrong. Alex Bedard, returned home from his tour of duty in Vietnam to run the family store following his father's suicide. He spends his days working the store, taking solitary runs with his dog and passing time at the local bar with his friends. It’s the fall of 1980 and Caddy Williams, wayward daughter of the town's wealthiest family and Alex’s high-school sweetheart rolls into town. Caddy's appearance after twelve years stirs everything up, including Alex. Caddy has not returned alone. Little Joe, Caddy’s boyfriend and a Mob crime boss is there to negotiate a drug deal with a rival gang lord. Before long Alex finds himself targeted by both bosses and his survival and ability to rescue Caddy seems unlikely.
