About the book
About Call This Number A Play
This play is inspired by actual events and the stories told are true. A support group meets to share their stories of family members who were murdered and their experiences with the "justice" system. Honest stories, funny moments, and a bittersweet and surprising ending. The play "Call this Number" lays bare the stories of people coming to terms with loss and the enduring power of love. Like other plays in this genre, such as The Laramie Project, the intent of this play is to give voice to the secondary victims of the crime of murder-the people whose lives were irrevocably changed by an act of violence. This play is dedicated to all victims, victim advocates, and to every person who seeks to understand the far-ranging effects of crime. Drama: 3 men/7 women
