About Brutal Bullion! A High Energy Fictional Thriller

Brutal Bullion is a high energy fictional thriller, drawing attention to the plight of the people trapped in the illegal gold trade, highlighting the appalling conditions in which these people live and work. A story grounded in the 1990's post democracy era, set within the large mining city of Welkom in the Free State, central South Africa. The account will take you headlong into the impetuous and often violent trade, including the relentless dangers, the folklore, the falls of ground, the effects of mercury poisoning and the ever-present corrupt officials central to their trapped existence. Included are blood feuds between the waring leaders, who use murder as a tool in their pursuit for control. In the midst of heartache, pain and sheer evil, love finds a way to prevail. The flash point for possible change... yet in some way, fuel for the enduring malevolence and pain. It's a world where the balance of good and evil is measured only by the observer's point of view. It's still happening today, unabated and just as lethal.
