About BlackOut Nomads: Van Life Thriller (The BlackOut Nomads Series)

Book One Blackout Nomads The world had changed. The days of freedom, when people could live as they wished—unbound, free—had ended. The system had started to collapse, and with it, the illusion of control. The government, desperate to restore order, began scraping the edges of society, hunting down those who lived outside its rules—those who had refused to conform. And when they couldn’t eliminate the outcasts, they found a new way to make them disappear. Nomads—those who lived in their vans, RVs, and camper trucks—had always been the quiet ones, moving across the land in search of a place to call home. But now they were hunted like wild animals, their freedom stripped away by a law that knew no mercy. The laws had been passed quickly. With no warning, entire states had begun to round up the homeless, the wanderers, and the dissenters, sending them to camps designed to break them. The government’s stories claimed they were “helping” them. The truth was far darker: They were erasing them. People who disagreed with the system were taken in the night, their bodies, their spirits, swallowed whole by faceless forces. But the Blackout Nomads—the ones who had always lived outside the system—had begun to see the cracks, the whispers of something darker, lurking beneath the surface. And some of them, tired of being pushed aside, decided it was time to fight back. Blaine had lived a life of independence—strong, sharp, and silent. The freedom of living in her van was all she had ever known. But now, as the laws tightened and the shadow of the system began to creep into every corner of her life, she found herself pulled into something darker than she could ever imagine. Julia, a former soldier, carried the weight of too many dead and broken people on her shoulders. She had seen war, but nothing prepared her for the silent war the government was waging against its own people. She thought she had escaped the violence of the battlefield, but the battlefield was now in the streets—hidden in plain sight. Max, with his clever humor, had spent his life taking on responsibility. The aviator and the navigator. He knows the roads and the people. Jack, the survivor, is a longtime friend of Blaine and Max. He is a traveler from West Virginia who knows all the woods and back roads, and lived his life enjoying outdoors. They weren’t looking for a fight, but the fight found them. As the government enacted its new policies—sending people to camps, pushing the nomads out of the shadows and into forced labor—it became clear that there was no place left to hide. The Blackout Nomads had to choose: fight or die. The world had become a battlefield, and the rules had shifted. They thought they could escape—find a quiet life somewhere on the road, in a small town, or hidden in the desert. But the government wasn’t done yet. They had eyes everywhere. And soon, the nomads would have to make their final stand—not just for their lives, but for the future. Freedom was no longer a right. It was a battle. And the Blackout Nomads would either win the war for it—or be erased from the world forever.
