About Best-laid Plants

Meet Prunella ‘Pru’ Parke, an American gardener who digs up murder and mystery wherever she goes. Pru and her former detective husband are long overdue a holiday. So when Pru is invited to redesign an Arts and Crafts garden in a picturesque Cotswolds village, they jump at the chance. But when Pru arrives, she finds that the once tranquil garden has fallen into heartbreaking neglect. With the garden’s owner and designer, Batsford Bede, under the weather, Pru tackles the renovation alone. But soon the soothing aesthetic and harmonious balance of Pru’s good work is trampled on when she discovers Batsford’s body pinned beneath a statue. Nothing in this garden is as it seems. Pru is convinced she’s dealing with a murderer. But who would want Batsford pushing up daisies? Now Pru’s uncovering more than she bargained for. Village secrets keep surfacing and each clue is more ominous than the last. Could Pru’s digging put her in the killer’s sights?
