About Beasts of the East: Stella and the Seven Kingdoms Book II

Return a gorilla. Apologize to a king. It all seemed so simple... After King Garrett’s new “pet” proves to be more than he can handle, he sends his newest messenger, 12-year-old Stella Sunter, to return the beast to Ambervale, home of the amazing zoo of King Naveen. As she explores this exotic land, Stella discovers a terrible secret: King Naveen's legendary menagerie isn’t as delightful as it seemed. But some truths are too dangerous to tell – especially when they could destroy the bonds between two kings. Even with help from a band of wild children, a hedge witch with peculiar magic, and a 900-pound gorilla with a score to settle, Stella still has an uphill climb if she wants to discover the truth...and find a way to balance human and animal kingdoms. Perfect for fans of Fablehaven and The Wild Robot, BEASTS OF THE EAST is an action-packed adventure about finding your voice, protecting the voiceless, and discovering that the wildest creatures aren't always the most dangerous ones. Book 2 in the Seven Kingdoms series. Can be read as a standalone.
