About Angelic Upstart (The Alex Trueman Chronicles)

Alex Trueman’s adventures in the time-frozen world of Intersticia, the angelic realm of Elysium, the doomed sultanate of Zanzibar and the strange dream landscape of Oneiro City have been related in the first four volumes of this series. During these adventures Alex has gained some sense of his significance and potential, as well as testing his relationship with his friends to the absolute limit. In ‘Angelic Upstart’ Alex continues to explore the parameters of his developing power. Discouraged by the archangels from using his powers on Earth, Alex is nevertheless faced with the severest of tempations. New encounters and new friendships disclose to him the pleasures of angelic existence and the almost unimaginable potential of angelic power. Alex takes his first faltering steps into a new world and a new phase of his existence but in so doing places his own world in the gravest of perils.
