About All The Right Reasons

In 1999, Jessica Youngman entered a Chinese restaurant to meet her soulmate-a boy she met in a chatroom that would someday be her husband. Or so she thought. Jessica Youngman had taken a liking to chatting with the boys from their school over instant messaging. It was exciting-knowing who you were talking to but not really knowing, and setting a date to meet. Jessica dreamed of twenty years down the line, telling their children about their first meeting. She never made it to the man of her dreams, though. She only found nightmares in the alley of the Chinese restaurant where "Kevin" had planned to take her on her first date. A week later, Bruce Callahan had the files of two missing person cases on his desk. Jessica Youngmen and her best friend Mindy Cooper. Coincidentally, it wasn't the first time Bruce had seen the name Mindy Cooper. Ten years prior, he'd responded to a domestic violence call and found the young girl in a forced, compromising position under her father, Big Kev. At the time, Bruce had a clear shot to Kev's head. He could have ended a lifetime of suffering and crime right there-but had just started on the force and wanted to do things by the book. Carrying his regrets and failures with him into this new case with the same passion as before, Bruce-the senior detective of the Sex Crimes division- and his new partner Maria Brookins must find the missing girls before it's too late and take care of Big Kev forever. All the Right Reasons is a heart-pounding, tantalizing blend of good vs. evil, justice vs. injustice, and monsters vs. saints. Fans of the Alex Cross series will appreciate similar plotlines and become fast favorites of Lamb's meticulous detail in telling stories.
