About All That Glitters
"All That Glitters" is a tale of a small-town girl with big dreams and how she, with an unshakable drive, determination, and belief in her talent, without any professional or academic training, became head designer for some of the largest and most successful garment manufacturers in the city of Los Angeles. Her adventures exposed her to personal danger, office intrigue, interactions with unsavory characters, confrontations with union thugs, exposure to mafia interactions, and a mysterious murder while becoming known as an innovator of “junior miss” fashions. The novel covers the time she spent working at three companies during the years between 1974 and 1982 and the challenges of becoming and sustaining the coveted position of fashion designer.
