About A Voyage for the Cursed

An elemental mage who is trying too hard An honest Pirate King And a swashbuckling adventure on cursed seas After surviving a werewolf, the last thing Chelsea wants to do is journey to a cursed island full of pirates and sea monsters. Unfortunately, that's exactly what the ominous poems that seem to be prophesying their doom say they need to do. Chelsea would rather just ignore the poems, but they might just be her only chance at figuring out the objective of their quest. So, they set out to the Bextian Sea to find an amulet, a lost princess, and a naiad... not necessarily in that order though. All she wants to do is get home in one piece, but in order to do that she will... -Have to stowaway on a pirate ship. -Fight off the mermaids trying to eat her. -And survive a sudden declaration of love from her childhood friend. All while worrying about ancient poems that foretell death and betrayal. Chelsea never put much stock in "destiny" but it seems as though destiny picked her all the same. Still, how can a scared girl with unstable magical powers and a penchant for overthinking be expected to save a realm that's already fallen to darkness? The Mage's War Saga is a YA portal fantasy series with echoes of Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, the Wizard of Oz, and King Arthur. Set in a vibrant world of decaying magic, this series is full of humor, whimsy, sweet slow-burn romance, and stepping into your destiny whether you want to or not.
