Crime & Mystery
Railway secrets and impossible disappearances is exactly the sort of hook that makes me pause mid-scroll.
The Last Passenger is on my want-to-read shelf for that reason alone, really. I’m curious whether it leans more into psychological suspense or the cleaner machinery of a detective puzzle. Either way, there’s a lot to be said for a mystery that uses a railway setting properly. Trains have their own atmosphere built in, which is half the battle won.
