Science Fiction
*Starlight and Splendor* is on my want-to-read shelf mostly because I’m curious about the balance it strikes.
Futuristic romance can be lovely when it trusts mood, tension and character chemistry. It can also get a bit over-explained, which is usually where I start to drift off. The blurb is doing the dramatic minimum, which I respect. Less interested in moonlit chaos than in whether the voice has enough texture to carry it.
If it leans atmospheric, I’m in. If it spends too long explaining itself, I’ll probably admire it from a safe distance.
