Science Fiction
A Change of Destiny has the kind of premise I’m suspicious of in a good way. Strange world, stranger time, and the possibility that the losses are somehow on the protagonist’s head. That’s the sort of setup that lives or dies on whether the character work can carry the guilt.
I haven’t read it yet, but I’d keep an eye on it for exactly that reason. Time travel is easy enough. Making the consequences feel personal is the harder trick.
