The title sounds bigger and brasher than the book actually feels, which I mean in a good way. What stayed with me was the family uncertainty running through it, not just the romance label on the front.
That mix works for me. I’m usually more interested when a romance has some weight to it, something a bit messy underneath the chemistry. This one had that. The series finale part matters, but it never felt like it was only there to tidy everything up neatly, which is often where I start losing interest.
