About two thirds into Glass Sword, and I’m noticing that the blood system is doing more heavy lifting than the wider worldbuilding. Which, honestly, is often the part that matters most.
When a book has a clean central idea, it can carry a surprising amount of wobble elsewhere. The rest can be a bit stubborn and still keep moving. That’s where this one is for me at the moment. Not flawless, but very readable in the way that counts.
